October Open Studios
This is a monthly newsletter about my current artwork, influences, past projects, and upcoming exhibitions, often with some personal content thrown in. I will also include announcements when prints or originals are up for sale.
October is the month of San Francisco Open Studios! If you are in the area, please come visit me in my new art studio, and see my most recent artwork.
Six other San Francisco artists will also be showing their art, so you can come meet my studio-mates and check out their work, too! Cy de Groat, J. Delfina Piretti, Sharon Steuer, Laurie Wigham, Stephanie Schreiner, and Sung Hee Kim are all wonderful artists who work in a variety of media, including watercolor, acrylic, oil, photography, and collage.
Here are the details:
My open studio weekend will be held at Workspace Artists, a beautiful, sunlit, communal art space right next to the historic Geneva Car Barn building. Workplace Artists is located at 768 Delano Avenue, 1D (just walk up the driveway, and the warehouse is on your left). We will be open to the public on October 19th and 20th from 11AM to 6PM, both days. It's right next to the Balboa Park Bart and MUNI stations, and there's always plenty of street parking. Bring your friends, bring your family, bring your neighbors!
I've got a perfectly beautiful little room to myself on the ground floor, and I'll be showing and selling all sorts of different pieces: original paintings and drawings, museum-quality Giclée prints, and eleven paintings from the Cheimonette Tarot. I'll also be selling some of my tarot decks at a special 20% discount, so if you've been wanting a deck, this would be a good weekend to pick one up.
If you liked my Insect X Flower prints that were available at Open Studios last year, I will have prints of the four new paintings I've made in that series, along with a variety of other beautiful prints. I will also have framed drawings of all sizes: sketches, line drawings, and my favorite geometrical drawings for sale.
Like last year, I'll have fresh lemonade, fruit, and home-baked treats to share.
